Gunsynd

Gunsynd is an engineered European Oak floor in a warm reddish-brown tone, laid in a classic herringbone pattern. Herringbone rewards a properly prepared subfloor, so we set out every room on paper before a single board goes down.

Each board is a genuine European Oak wear layer bonded over a multi-ply substrate, so it moves far less than solid timber as Melbourne swings from a wet winter to a dry summer. The surface carries a UV-cured polyurethane coating that shrugs off scuffing from shoes, chairs and pets.

It works particularly well in open-plan living and dining areas, where one continuous floor ties the whole space together. It is compatible with hydronic and electric underfloor heating when the system is commissioned correctly.
