Blackbutt 189Wide is an engineered Blackbutt floor in a versatile mid-tone finish, in 189mm wide boards. Boards this wide show the grain running through the timber instead of chopping it up every few centimetres.
The wear layer is genuine Blackbutt over a plywood core, which keeps the board dimensionally stable while showing the grain and colour the species is known for. The coating is applied in the factory under UV light, so there is no sanding, sealing or curing time on site.
It holds up well in rentals and investment properties that need to present sharply between tenancies. It is compatible with underfloor heating, provided the subfloor moisture content is checked first. Ask us for a sample; judging a floor from a full board at home beats judging it from a photo.
