Black Forest

Black Forest is an engineered European Oak floor in a deep, near-black finish with plenty of drama, laid in a classic herringbone pattern. Herringbone rewards a properly prepared subfloor, so we set out every room on paper before a single board goes down.

Each board is a genuine European Oak wear layer bonded over a multi-ply substrate, so it moves far less than solid timber as Melbourne swings from a wet winter to a dry summer. The surface carries a UV-cured polyurethane coating that shrugs off scuffing from shoes, chairs and pets.

We install it regularly in apartments and townhouses, where the right acoustic underlay keeps the neighbours happy. It is compatible with hydronic and electric underfloor heating when the system is commissioned correctly. Supply-only and fully installed pricing are both available across Melbourne.
