Balinese

Balinese is an engineered European Oak floor in a rich brown tone with real depth, laid in a classic herringbone pattern. Herringbone rewards a properly prepared subfloor, so we set out every room on paper before a single board goes down.

Each board is a genuine European Oak wear layer bonded over a multi-ply substrate, so it moves far less than solid timber as Melbourne swings from a wet winter to a dry summer. The surface carries a UV-cured polyurethane coating that shrugs off scuffing from shoes, chairs and pets.

It is a common pick for renovations, where the new floor has to sit alongside existing joinery, doors and skirting.
