Torquay is a 14.5mm engineered European Oak floor in a versatile mid-tone finish, in long, straight-laid planks. Straight-laid planks are the most forgiving format to install and the easiest to extend if you renovate the next room later.
Each board is a genuine European Oak wear layer bonded over a multi-ply substrate, so it moves far less than solid timber as Melbourne swings from a wet winter to a dry summer. The surface carries a UV-cured polyurethane coating that shrugs off scuffing from shoes, chairs and pets.
It is popular in newer builds where the entire ground floor runs as one uninterrupted surface. It is compatible with hydronic and electric underfloor heating when the system is commissioned correctly. Ask us for a sample; judging a floor from a full board at home beats judging it from a photo.
