Blackbutt (12mm Thickness) is a 12mm laminate floor in a versatile mid-tone finish, in long, straight-laid planks. Straight-laid planks are the most forgiving format to install and the easiest to extend if you renovate the next room later.
A high-density core carries the decor layer under a tough transparent wear surface, which is what makes laminate so difficult to scratch. It clicks together as a floating floor and is the most affordable way to run a timber look across a large area.
It is a common pick for renovations, where the new floor has to sit alongside existing joinery, doors and skirting. Keep it out of bathrooms and laundries, but it is at home everywhere else in the house. Ask us for a sample; judging a floor from a full board at home beats judging it from a photo.
