Matterhorn

Matterhorn is a 15mm engineered European Oak floor in a versatile mid-tone finish, in extra-wide planks. Wider boards mean fewer joins across the floor, which makes a room read as larger than it actually is.

Each board is a genuine European Oak wear layer bonded over a multi-ply substrate, so it moves far less than solid timber as Melbourne swings from a wet winter to a dry summer. The surface carries a UV-cured polyurethane coating that shrugs off scuffing from shoes, chairs and pets.

It is a common pick for renovations, where the new floor has to sit alongside existing joinery, doors and skirting. It is compatible with hydronic and electric underfloor heating when the system is commissioned correctly. Supply-only and fully installed pricing are both available across Melbourne.
